Teach Your Children How To Safely Use A Firearm
This children-focused lesson covers the important aspects of being cautious and safe in any environment, whether firearms are present or not. Participants will also learn the four rules to be safe around guns.
As gun owners we have a duty to teach our children on how we become responsibly armed Americans and save lives. It's important to discuss firearm safety with your children not to hide it from them. This is the key to educated and safe children.
This course covers:
The 4 Universal Firearm Safety Rules
Firearm and ammunition fundamentals
How to safely handle firearms at home and at the range
Accident prevention and Safe firearm storage
How to make gun safety a family responsibility
This 3-hour basics course helps students age 8-15yrs learn proper firearm safety in a safe environment taught by USCCA certified instructors. This course includes live air soft range time. If you're interested in LIVE fire at the range for your children, contact us to schedule a private lesson with you or your children.
**Each student must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult for the full duration of the training.
What To Expect
This is a 3-hour class. We cover information in an engaging classroom environment using real life scenarios, demonstrations, and hands on learning. The class includes live air soft range time during which our instructors assist with form, and provide safety tips and pointers along the way. You and your children will leave better equipped to safey handle firearms in any situation.
What To Bring
We suggest you bring any items they feel you or your children may need. However, here is a short list of items we recommend you bring:
Notepad and pen
Hearing and eye protection
Closed toe shoes
Water bottle

Just completed my renewal for my CCL with Erin at LDA. Erin is a great instructor and one that works great with women who might not want to take a class in a male dominated environment. On the range for the live firing qualification, Erin was clear and ready for any issue that might have arisen, which in this case included one of our classmates having a issue with the firearm not working correctly. A top notch educational experience from a top notch facility. When my wife is looking to get back into shooting, I will be sending her to take one of Erin's classes at LDA.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Erin Rae
With a Bachelor of Arts in Education, Masters in Public Administration, Masters in Literacy, and a doctorate in Curriculum Leadership, Erin has been a lifelong career teacher and school leader for 25 years. When given the chance to teach one of her favorite hobbies and passions, Erin began a firearms training and safety business out of her home and rental spaces, specializing in providing confidence and competence to female students. She is excited to join the LDA team! Erin teaches firearms safety, basic handgun/pistol, CCW/CCL, situational awareness, and many female only courses.
